East Lincolnshire Church Plant to centre on Skegness

After our inaugural meeting took place in the County Hotel, Skegness on June 7, 2009 we continued to meet both in Sibsey and Skegness on a Sunday. However, this involved our Pastor and his wife, and many of our members, in a great deal of travelling. It very soon became clear that we should be concentrating our resources in Skegness. Both our sponsoring Church, Reffley Community Church, King's Lynn, and the District Advisory Board supported this and in November 2009 the District invested in a Manse in Skegness so that Ian and Diane could move to Skegness in order to be closer to the community and use more of their time pastoring and evangelising in the town rather than spend so much time travelling.

The move to the new Manse in Winthorpe, on the outskirts of town, finally took place just before Christmas on the very day when it started to snow! Since the move we have been able to set up a midweek fellowship. Diane and Ian have had a number of visitors to the Manse including a rather unusual group of 'carol singers'! (see picture)
