The Rev'd Ian Banks is continuing in his role as Chaplain to the Skegness and District Burma Star Association.
In June 2010 Ian led a service to dedicate the Burma Star Memorial Stone.
In August 2009 Ian led a service of Remembrance for VJ Day.
On Remembrance Sunday, 2009, he took part in the Veterans parade through Skegness and laid a wreath at the War memorial.
Ian ready for action!!
Ian continues in his role as Chaplain to the Crew of the Skegness Lifeboat. In January 2009 he went out to sea with the Lifeboat crew to scatter the ashes of a dear friend who had been an active fundraiser for the RNLI and who had died in October 2008.
In February 2010 Ian assisted with a fund raising collection for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association in the Skegness branch of Tesco.
