Summer Barbecue August 2010
As a Church Fellowship, following our Sunday meeting on August 29th, we rounded off the summer with a barbecue lunch at the home of Pete and Sandra Newsome, This was well attended and enjoyed by everyone, even though the weather was typically British Bank Holiday weather (couldn't make its mind up weather to rain or not) and such was the wind that the gazebo nearly took off. Most of the time was spent indoors although some of us braved the weather and ate outside! Pete insisted on cooking on the garden barbecue and did so under cover of his fishing umbrella! Well done Pete!
Some braved the weather and ate outside!
Others stayed inside !!
Our thanks go to Sandra and Pete and to everyone who helped make this a special time of fellowship.
It really was windy as this group photo shows!!
During a lull in the wind, Pete takes a break from cooking and enjoys a chat!
Bill and June's daughter Nicola and granddaughter Chloe were visting from their home in London and joined us for our morning worship and the lunch.
